Aside from some shipping-date confusion, which Amazon's carrier resolved happily, I'm really pleased with this purchase! I assembled it myself (56 yr old Grandma) in about 2 1/2 hours - I agree with another reviewer that using your own tools is a much better thing! It went together easily and is rock-solid and basically silent in operation.
I laughed at the statement about "large wheels let you stow it away when done exercising".... this thing weighs more than a dead moose. Set it up where you want it and leave it there!!
I've owned a cheaper elliptical, which I hated (in hindsight, the lightweight flywheel and 15" stride made it run awkwardly); and belonged to a gym where I LOVED the commercial-quality elliptical. The Esprit is much closer to the commercial-grade feel, although I wish the pedals were a tad closer together. For the thousand-or-more dollar difference in price for a commercial unit - I can live with the spacing, though...LOL! Programming the monitor is easy and intuitive, and I feel there's plenty of workout options available. And I'm REALLY glad I paid the extra $$ to get a unit with a 20" stride - it feels smooth and "natural" to use.Get more detail about Esprit by Spirit EL-3 Elliptical Trainer.
