I have had mine for a number of years. It gets daily, hard use from both myself and my children.
The machine is smooth, solid, and always performs well.
I originally bought it because I used a Precor at a health club for several years. The health club had several other elliptical makes; I preferred the Precors. The differences between this model and the club model are not all that great, certainly not worth paying more money for. For example, this model has a painted steel front ramp on which the wheels roll up and down; the next model up has an aluminum ramp; both ramps do the same job well.
As part of the deal, I received a heart monitor that fits over my chest. The monitor works fine, but I do not use it much.Get more detail about Precor EFX 5.17i Elliptical Fitness Crosstrainer.
